Harp Art

Heworth Art and Relaxation Project (HARP) is an art based activity group for people with enduring mental health issues. It began in the late 90's when members of the group were attending Heworth Day Centre and decided that they would like to form their own independent group. In August 2005 the group moved to Thomas Hepburn Community School alongside other community groups.

Tanfield Lea Primary School

Tanfield Lea Community Primary School aims to provide a safe, caring environment, which enables everyone in the school to fulfil their potential.

Stephenson Way Primary School

Stephenson Way Community Primary School is a large primary school with a nursery. In September 2007 Stephenson Way Primary School and Elmfield Primary School were amalgamated by Durham County Council. The new school opened to pupils on September 4th 2007. Teaching is organised into three key stages. We have a Foundation Stage Unit that combines our Nursery and Reception classes, three Key Stage 1 and six Key Stage 2 classes. We also have a very special class each morning for some KS 2 pupils.
